BUILDING A GLOBAL SOCCER COMMUNITY

MAKING AN IMPACT...

Since 2002, the Ismaili Youth Soccer Academy (IYSA) has been dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering community spirit through soccer. From our local Canadian roots to our international aspirations, we strive to inspire and empower youth around the globe.

Our vision extends beyond the field. We're committed to community development, both locally and globally. With support and engagement from our network, IYSA aims to collaborate with programs in Kenya, Uganda, Zanzibar, South Africa, Mali, Egypt, Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan, and China, growing as an academy and a united global community.

IYSA's COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

Youth Soccer Camps in Tanzania

IYSA coaches traveled to Moshi and Dar-es-Salaam, training 147 orphans and local youth. We supported the community with donations of jerseys, boots, and soccer balls.

2013

Mosaic Canada Soccer Camp

IYSA hosted a weekend soccer camp in New Westminster, BC, offering training and mentorship to Sudanese and Black youth communities.

Let Me Be Me (LMBM) Foundation Soccer Camp

In Nanaimo, BC, IYSA coached children from the Special Educational Needs Learning Centre, creating an inclusive and empowering experience.

September 2024

Coaching at the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad, India

Collaborating with four international coaches, IYSA trained 120 students over four weeks, sharing skills and fostering a love for the game.

2018

Soccer Academy in Tajikistan

Three Canadian coaches from IYSA conducted a two-week training program for over 250 boys and girls across four towns. Along with skills training, we donated jerseys, boots, and soccer balls to children in need.

PROJECT BLUE HANDS (PBH): RESTORING HOPE IN VANCOUVER

PBH, a non-profit initiative by IYSA, works to restore dignity and support for the homeless and impoverished population in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Key Initiatives:

Thanksgiving 2019: Distributed nutritious meals, clean clothing, and hygiene products.
Christmas 2020 Toy Drive: Brought joy to the community by delivering toys and essentials.

PBH focuses on meeting basic needs and supporting individuals with addiction challenges, striving to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable lives.
